Human Topoisomerase II Alpha
Human DNA Topoisomerase II alpha (Topo IIa) is a type II topoisomerase that can decatenate and relax supercoiled DNA. It is prepared by overexpressing in baculovirus-infected insect cells (Spodoptera frugiperda) and purifying it by methods developed in-house.
The enzyme is supplied in Dilution Buffer.
1 U of Topo IIa will relax 0.5 µg supercoiled pBR322 DNA in 1X Assay buffer in a total reaction volume of 30 µl in 30 minutes at 37°C.
1 U of Topo IIa will decatenate 200 ng of kDNA when incubated in 1X Assay buffer in a total reaction volume of 30 µl in 30 minutes at 37°C.
Store at -80°C.
